The Amy Eskue Memorial run opens this year at the Annual Okeene Rattle Snake Hunt. The race will begin at the Okeene Community Building at 8am on Saturday May 3rd. All participants are asked to arrive at 7:30am at the community building. The community building is located at 116 west E street in Okeene, Oklahoma. There will be a 5k fun run and a 1 mile fun walk. This race has been started this year in the remembrance of Amy Eskue.
Amy Eskue was dedicated to the spiritual growth of all those she came in contact with. She also desired for all people to live a happy healthy life style in Christ Jesus. She spent days, months, and years teaching that you could eat right and still enjoy food and life. She taught that exercise benefits your soul, body, and mind. Amy wanted to prove to her congregation and community that anyone could complete a 5k.

The 2008 annual Rattlesnake Hunt is underway.
If you haven’t visited it yet you’ve already missed out on the this mornings parade.
But don’t worry, there’s still plenty to do and to see. Visit the Old Smokey show (see the video below), the Butcher Shop (as long as ya’ll don’t get queasy), the Den of Death, the Carnival, vendors and the BIG dance tonight.
